P.O. Box Service for NRI customers

These are the terms and conditions governing the usage of Post Office Box ("P.O. Box") services ("Services") offered by ICICI Bank Limited, India ("ICICI Bank")" to its NRI customers ("Terms and Conditions"). Terms and Conditions shall be in addition to and not in substitution/ derogation to the terms and conditions governing the usage of NRI account as provided on the website. • The P.O. Box is a service offered directly by ICICI Bank India, and any of the overseas branches, subsidiaries or representative offices are not involved in this service.
• The services are offered only to NRI customers in USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and UAE.
• ICICI Bank is offering the services in the above mentioned countries through Quantium Solutions ("Service Provider"). The service provider shall collect all packets / envelopes from the P.O Box and will courier all documents to its India Office. Thereafter these documents will be sent to ICICI Bank, NRI services.
• The time taken for processing the request is 14 days. This includes the time taken for delivery to ICICI Bank India from date of documents dispatch. The service provider shall clear the P.O. Box as under:
  • US PO. Box- Every Monday, and Thursday
  • Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia PO Boxes- every Monday and Thursday.
  • UAE PO Box- every Monday and Wednesday
• The customers using the services shall be availing the service at their own risk. ICICI Bank or the Service Provider shall not be responsible or liable to the user or any third party for the "envelopes / consignments or its contents" (collectively referred as "Consignments") during the transit from the user to the P.O Box. The confidentiality of the documents sent by the user / customer would be maintained.
• The service provider shall be responsible to the user for the Consignment till it is trans-shipped and delivered to ICICI Bank – RPC NRI Cell, Mumbai. The user agrees to entrust the Consignment to the service provider till its trans-shipment to India at his sole risk and discretion. ICICI Bank shall not be held liable or responsible for any loss or destruction of the Consignments in the hands of the Service Provider.
• ICICI Bank is not responsible for any loss in document arising out of the documents sent to a wrong address or documents lost in transit before reaching the ICICI Bank P.O. Box. The users shall not send monetary instruments like cheques, demand drafts, cash etc. through this service. ICICI Bank reserves the right to destroy such instruments or return them back to the user, if sent. ICICI Bank shall not be responsible for any loss in transit or any monetary loss including loss on account of change in exchange rates, interest rates, deposit value date etc. arising due to the time elapsed due to return of the monetary instrument.
• The user is aware that ICICI Bank will not process the documents without furnishing the covering letter duly filled with and in the event of no letter or incomplete information being furnished, ICICI Bank is neither responsible to return the documents to the user nor to keep it in safe custody
• In the event the users instruction/s cannot be carried out owing to any discrepancy or otherwise, ICICI Bank may inform the user by email to the e-mail ID furnished by the user. ICICI Bank is not responsible for non receipt of such email on account of any incorrect e-mail ID or systemic error or non acceptance by the computer system of the user.
• ICICI Bank shall in its sole discretion, destroy the documents after six months of receipt without any further reference to the user and the user agrees that ICICI Bank is not liable or responsible to either user or any other person for such destruction.
• The user agrees that he shall be solely responsible for the contents of the consignment, and shall indemnify ICICI Bank for any loss or damage suffered to it, on account of handling the contents or merely the letter being addressed to it in view of legal, regulatory or contractual requirements of the user.
