Deposits - Closure/Renewal of Existing Fixed/Recurring Deposit


  1. Your request for premature closure of the FD/RD will be processed in 1 working day.
  2. Please note that we offer option of partial closure of FD for which request can be availed through Phone Banking or by visiting our nearest ICICI Bank branch.
  3. Requests will be processed only if the FD/RD and savings account you have selected above are held under the same customer ID.
  4. On closure of your FD/RD, the funds will be credited to the savings account that you have selected above.
  5. On premature closure of your FD/RD, interest will be paid as per the rate of interest applicable for the tenure during which the deposit was kept with the Bank. Rates of interest are subject to change without notice.
  6. If the maturity date falls on a Sunday/Holiday, the proceeds will be credited to your account on the next business day.
  7. If you have chosen the renewal of FD option, we will renew the FD on the maturity date for the same tenure.
  8. The FD/RD and the savings account where credit is to be made should both be held under the same name and in the same order of names.
  9. In case of a deceased claim we request you to visit the branch to close the Fixed/Recurring Deposit.
  10. If the Fixed Deposit Receipt is with you, requests pertaining to FD cannot be processed through ICICIBank.com. Please contact your branch for such requests.
  11. Requests for closure of NRE/NRO/NRI FDs/RDs cannot be processed. Please contact your branch for such requests.
  12. If you have provided your mobile number or E-mail, we will inform you about the closure of your request by SMS or E-mail respectively. Providing the mobile number or email here will not result in an update of your mobile number or E-mail as recorded with us.
