Terms and conditions relating to Aadhaar updation and authentication

 

By consenting to these terms and conditions, the customer will provide their voluntary consent and will authorize ICICI Bank for:

A) Authenticating them with UIDAI’s Aadhaar based authentication system;

B) Updating their Aadhaar details in the account / Customer ID opened pursuant to the Application Form;

C) Use the customer’s registered mobile number to receive SMS alerts from ICICI Bank regarding Aadhaar; and

D) Use, exchange and share the customer’s Aadhaar details with concerned regulatory and / or statutory authorities as may be sought by them and / or required under applicable law/s

By consenting to these terms and conditions, the customer agree with the below terms pertaining to sharing of my Aadhaar related information and purpose of usage of my Aadhaar related information.

A) ICICI Bank has informed the customer that their biometric details shall not be stored by ICICI Bank and shall not be shared with any third party except NSDL for the purpose of Aadhaar related electronic signature (“eSign”) and/or as provided under applicable laws and shall be submitted to Central Identities Data Repository / Unique Identification Authority of India (“UIDAI”) for purpose of authentication.

B) I understand and agree that the nature of information which may be shared by UIDAI with the Bank upon authentication shall be in nature of the customer’s demographic information including photograph and email id and mobile number which ICICI Bank may use for KYC verification as identity/address proof for the purpose of account opened pursuant to the Application Form.

C) ICICI Bank has informed the customer and the customer is fully aware that their Aadhaar details and identity information would only be used for Yes/No authentication facility (using demographic, OTP, biometric or multi-factor authentication) or e-KYC authentication facility (using OTP or biometric authentication), as may be applicable and for updation of Aadhaar details in the account opened pursuant to the Application Form.

D) The Aadhaar information submitted to the bank herewith shall not be used for any purpose other than mentioned above.

The customer hereby understands that their request for updation of Aadhaar details in the bank account will not be processed, if:

(i) Aadhaar details provided by the customer is incorrect/incomplete;

(ii) the customer details in bank account to be opened pursuant to this Application Form, do not match with details available with UIDAI as a result of which authentication with UIDAI fails; and

(iii) Technical failures while authenticating Aadhaar with UIDAI.

E) The customer declares that the information furnished by the customer to the Bank is true, correct and complete. ICICI Bank does not take any responsibility and shall not be held liable for any claims whatsoever, should the details provided by the customer are incorrect/ incomplete.

F) The customer declares and undertakes that the eSign facility is being provided through a third party platform and ICICI Bank shall not be liable for any mismatch in eSign or failure of authentication in any manner whatsoever

G) In case of any correction, dispute, query or complaint regarding the Aadhaar updation, customer(s) shall address the same to phone banking team of ICICI bank or visit the nearest ICICI Bank branch.
