What is SmartLock?

SmartLock is a digital feature available on the iMobile Pay App that allows you to lock and unlock multiple Banking Services without calling Customer Care or visiting a Bank Branch.

Which services are included in SmartLock?

SmartLock covers locking and unlocking services such as iMobile Pay, Net Banking, UPI, Credit Card and Debit Card.

How can I access the status of my services?

You can log in to the iMobile Pay App and click on ‘SmartLock’ available at the bottom right corner of the home screen.

Are the lock/unlock services instant?

Yes, services can be locked and unlocked in real time.

What if I lock my iMobile Pay App and uninstall it? Can I use the iMobile Pay app again?

Yes, you can install the iMobile Pay app again, activate it using required authentication and start using the same.

If UPI is locked, can I still carry out transactions using Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.?

No, if UPI is locked, payments from all UPI applications will be blocked.

If iMobile Pay App is locked, can I still use other (website) services?

iMobile Pay Services will be unavailable and a prompt will be displayed to the user to login and unlock. However, other Banking Services will continue to be operational.

What should I do if I face issues while locking/unlocking the service?

If Net Banking is locked, can I log into the Retail Internet Banking (RIB) portal from a laptop or mobile?

No, to use Net Banking again, you must unlock the service using SmartLock.

Will cards be locked temporarily or permanently?

Credit Cards and Debit Cards will be locked temporarily and can be unlocked using SmartLock without calling Customer Care or visiting a Bank Branch.

What happens to my Standing Instructions (SI) or e-mandates that are already given?

Even when Banking Services are locked using SmartLock, scheduled Standing Instructions (SI) and e-mandates continue to process seamlessly.
