How do I open an ICICI Bank Salary Account?
If your organisation has an ICICI Bank Salary Account relationship, you can approach us in any of the following ways:
- Call us at our 24 hour Customer Care Centre.
- You can just walk into any of our branches.
- Write to us using the "Email Us" option.
If I change my job then salary account will remain or it will convert into other account?
The salary account will be converted into Regular Salary Account under the following scenarios:
- If your management informs the bank that you are not working in that organisation.
- If your salary is not getting credited into the account for a period of 6 months or more.
In both the above cases, the bank will have an authorization to change your salary account into Regular Salary account where you have to maintain a monthly average balance of Rs.10,000 per month or as applicable from time to time.
What are the benefits of opening an ICICI Bank Salary Account?
Can I convert my salary account to zero balance savings account?
If the monthly salary is not being credited into your account continuously for 6 months, your salary account will be converted into 'Regular Salary Account' as per the standard terms & conditions. Also, you would be unable to convert your existing account to a zero balance account.
We would advise you to convert the existing salary account to general savings account, with a monthly average balance to be maintained at minimum of Rs.10,000.00 or as applicable. The details regarding the Terms & Conditions and service charges pertaining to general savings account have been updated on our website www.icicibank.com > Service Charges & Fees.

How can I update new employer's name in my salary account?
To update new employer name in your salary account, login to your Internet Banking Account > Customer Service > Service Requests > Bank Accounts > More > Account Details Modification Related > Request to update Company/employer name in the account.
The request will be processed in 1 working day.
Note: You may make the above request only if the salary is getting credited from the new employer.
In case the salary is not getting credited from new employer, you may visit the nearest ICICI Bank branch along with the letter from your new company Human Resource (HR), stating that your salary is getting credited to this account and get it duly stamped from your HR along with the latest pay slip and photo ID proof and submit it at nearest ICICI Bank branch. What Documents do I need to submit for opening an ICICI Bank Salary Account?
- Introduction by the company (Stamped and Signed by the authorised signatory)
- Photocopy of the Pan Card
- Address proof
Any one of the following documents will suffice as valid Address proof:
- Aadhaar letter/card
- Driving Licence
- Voter ID card
- PAN intimation letter
- Job card issued by NREGA
What is a Value Added Savings Bank Account?
What is the rate of interest that I will earn on the balance in my ICICI Bank Salary Account?
The rate of interest applicable for the savings account is 4% per annum.
The interest is calculated at the end of the day on daily basis and credited quarterly (March, June, September and December, with effect from June, 2016).
What all can I do under Anywhere Banking facility offered to me with my Salary Account?
Anywhere banking facility allows you to operate your account from a branch other than the branch where you have opened your account.
The various activities you can undertake under Anywhere Banking facilities are:
- Cash withdrawal up to Rs 15,000 per day.
- Cash deposit up to Rs 50,000 per day * .
- Local clearing Cheque deposit upto a maximum of Rs. 15,000/- per cheque .
- Balance Enquiry.
- Account statement.
- Issue of PO and DD for a maximum amount of Rs. 50,000 per PO/DD.

How do I change the nominees for my Salary Account?
You can change the nominee(s) by making a declaration to that effect, in the appropriate form, which is available at any of the ICICI Bank branches.
Do I need an introduction from an existing ICICI Bank account holder for Salary Account?
No introduction is required from an existing ICICI Bank account holder for opening a Salary Account, proof of your employment / validation from an authorised official of your Human Resource Department is sufficient.
As a Salary Account holder, can I open a joint account and with whom?
Yes, you can open a joint account with your spouse or your blood relative by providing us an acceptance letter from your company stating that they have no objection for the same.

ICICI Bank Recurring Deposit (RD) is an ideal way to invest small amounts of money every month and end up with a large kitty on maturity.

If I am working for a company, which sends me to the US for a couple of years or so, can I still continue getting the benefits of ICICI Bank?

If you have a bank account with ICICI Bank and a satisfactory banking record you can apply for this facility. What is a Reimbursement Account? How does it benefit me?
Your management can choose to disburse the reimbursements payable to you through a zero balance operative account, which is known as a Reimbursement Account.
You will not have to spend time standing in a queue in your organisation to collect your reimbursements. It also helps you in filing your tax returns.
The Reimbursement Account can be opened simultaneously along with the ICICI Bank Salary account, which would be linked with the debit card held by you.
How do I get my account transferred from one ICICI Bank branch to another?
