Terms and Conditions –Postcard Hotels

Offer: Get 25% instant discount on making a reservation at any Postcard Hotel in India, Sri Lanka or Bhutan, using ICICI Bank Credit /Debit Cards & Net Banking services. Maximum discount applicable is Rs 5000 per room.

  • Offer is exclusive of applicable government taxes and discretionary service charges.
  • Reservation Guarantee Policy:
  • To guarantee a reservation, an advance amounting to 50% of the total room charges (inclusive of applicable taxes) is required.
  • Additionally, the hotel must receive 100% of the total room charges at the time of arrival at the hotel.
  • Cancellation Policy:
  • Reservations can be cancelled 15 days prior without incurring a cancellation charge.
  • A cancellation fee amounting to 50% of the total room charges (inclusive of applicable taxes) will be levied if the reservation is cancelled less than 15 days prior to the date of arrival at the hotel. The amount will be retained and can be used as credit for the next 90 days for services at the same hotel.
  • Group Reservation Policy:
  • Reservation of five or more rooms together will be considered a group reservation. To guarantee a reservation, an advance amounting to 50% of the total room charges (inclusive of applicable taxes) is required. Additionally, the hotel must receive 100% of the total room charges 30 days prior to the date of arrival at the hotel.
  • A cancellation fee amounting to 100% of the total room charges (inclusive of applicable taxes) will be levied if the reservation is cancelled less than 30 days prior to the date of arrival at the hotel. The deposit will be retained and can be used as credit for the next 90 days for services at the same hotel.
  • Early Checkout Policy: In an event of a check out earlier than the scheduled departure date, 100% of the total room charges (inclusive of applicable taxes) will be levied.
  • Refund Policy: For reservation cancellations eligible for a refund, the refund will be processed immediately. It may take anywhere from 24 hours to upto 2 weeks until the amount features in the credit card statement or the bank account. The refund’s eligibility will be based on the hotel’s cancellation policy and the time of cancellation.
  • Reservation Modification Policy: Reservations may be amended 15 days prior to date of arrival at the hotel. Any modifications are subject to availability at the time of making the request. Modifications made less than 15 days before the original arrival date will incur a retention charge.
  • No-Show Policy: In an event of the guest not arriving at the hotel on the intended date of arrival without intimation, the reservation will be cancelled and a cancellation fee amounting to the entire advance amount will be charged.
  • Check-in and Check-out Policy:
  • All hotels have an anytime check-in and check-out policy for the arrival date and departure date.
  • Guests to be requested to indicate their time of arrival and departure from the hotel at the time of making their reservation for the anytime check-in and check-out policy to be extended seamlessly to all guests.
  • Anytime check-in is applicable post 6 am on the day of arrival at the hotel.

 

  • Anytime Breakfast Policy:
  • All hotel stays are inclusive of complimentary anytime breakfast per night for up to a maximum of two adults per room. For additional occupants in the room, the following charges apply:
  • Children aged 5 years and below: Complimentary
  • Children between 5-12 years of age: INR 1000 plus taxes per child per day
  • Occupants over 12 years of age: INR 1500 plus taxes per occupant per day
  • Child Policy:
  • Up to two children below 5 years of age can stay with parents in one room, however, only one extra bed will be provided with the hotel’s compliments subject to availability of extra beds.
  • One child upto 12 years of age can stay with parents in one room and one extra bed will be provided with the hotel’s compliments subject to availability of extra beds.
  • For an additional occupant over 12 years of age in the same room a charge of INR 7000 plus taxes per day for the extra bed set up will be levied. This charge also includes the breakfast charge for the additional occupant. A maximum of one additional extra bed is possible in our guest rooms and extra beds are subject to availability. The placement and set up of extra beds is possible only in select room categories.
  • *Attic Suites at The Postcard Galle can accommodate up to 4 adults. The room rate would also include breakfast for 4. The rack rate for the Attic Suite will be reflective of this.
  • **Premier Suites (room number 3and 4) with at The Postcard Saligao can accommodate up to 3 adults or two adults and two children below the age of 12. The room rate would also include breakfast for them. The rack rate for these Premier Suites will be reflective of this.
  • Extra Bed Policy: Extra beds can be set up to accommodate three adults in one room at an additional charge of INR 7000 plus taxes per day. This charge also includes the breakfast charge for the additional occupant. The placement and set up of extra beds is possible only in select room categories.
  • Twin Beds - Except for The Postcard Dewa, Thimphu, Bhutan, we do not have twin beds at our hotels. On request for a twin set up in the room we can prepare the bed with separate comforters.
  • Applicable Taxes and Service Charge

               India

  • 18% Goods and Services Tax is applicable on all Room Rates, Food and Soft Beverages, Spa Services and Experiences
  • Car Charges are subject to 12% Goods and Services Tax
  • 22% Value Added Tax is applicable on Alcoholic Beverages sold
  • A 5% discretionary Service Charge is applicable on all services

 

Sri Lanka

  • A mandatory 10% Property Service Charge is applicable on all services 2 including Room, Food and Beverage, Alcohol, Spa Services, Experiences and Car Charges

 

Bhutan

  • A 10% Bhutan Sales Tax is applicable on all services including Room, Food and Beverage, Alcohol, Spa Services, Experiences and Car Charges
  • A 10% mandatory Service Charge is applicable on all services
