How does the ICICI Bank Unifare Credit Card offer features of a Credit Card as well as a Delhi Metro Smart Card?
The ICICI Bank Unifare Credit Card is a dual purpose card that can be used for traveling on the Delhi Metro and for making Credit Card transactions at over 22 million establishments worldwide. This is because the card contains a Delhi Metro Transit chip embedded along with the Credit Card Chip.
What is Auto Top-Up?
Auto Top-Up is a standing instruction on your ICICI Bank Unifare Credit Card for recharging the Delhi Metro Transit chip. In this facility the Auto Top-Up amount is credited to the Delhi Metro Transit chip automatically when the balance on the chip drops below the threshold limit. The Auto Top-Up amount is Rs.200 i.e. every time the balance on your Delhi Metro Transit chip drops below a certain limit, Rs. 200 will be debited to your Credit Card and credited on the Delhi Metro Transit chip.
What is threshold limit?
Threshold limit is the balance amount (on the Delhi Metro Transit chip) at which the Auto Top-Up instruction will be executed automatically. The threshold limit is Rs.100 i.e. when the balance on the Delhi Metro Transit chip drops below Rs.100, Auto Top-Up amount of Rs. 200 will be credited to the Delhi Metro Transit chip after automatic deduction from the Credit limit.
How and where will the Auto Top-Up get triggered?
The Auto Top-Up will automatically get triggered when you tap the card at the entry gate at Auto Top-Up enabled Delhi Metro stations*, if the balance on your Delhi Metro Transit chip is lower than the threshold limit. You will be able to view the updated balance on your Delhi Metro Transit chip at the station gate when you exit at your destination station.
