Why should I register for 'i-safe' mobile application?


'i-safe' mobile application helps you generate OTP or URN instantly on your mobile phone instead of receiving it by SMS.

It provides, easy access to Internet Banking account for frequent travelers since OTP / URN can be generated without the registered mobile number being active.

Can I register and activate 'i-safe' mobile application if I do not have GPRS on my mobile phone?


To activate 'i-safe' mobile application and to generate OTP or URN, you will require GPRS on your mobile phone. However, to use it subsequently to generate OTP or URN you do not require GPRS.

Can I register for 'i-safe' mobile application if my latest mobile number is not registered in my account?


Since SMS to activate 'i-safe' mobile application is sent to the mobile number registered in your account, it is mandatory that your latest mobile number is updated in your bank account for i-safe mobile application registration. Thereafter, you can generate OTP / URN with the same mobile handset even if you are not using your registered mobile number.

Will I still receive OTP or URN by SMS on my registered mobile number if I register for this facility?


Once you have registered for 'i-safe' mobile application, you will stop receiving OTP and URN on your registered mobile number by SMS. You can generate OTP and URN using the 'i-safe' mobile application

Can I use this application to generate any other authentication code?


The 'i-safe' mobile application can be used to generate OTP to access your Internet Banking account and Unique Registration Number (URN) to confirm an added Payee for transfer of funds.

I have registered for this facility, but now I want to change my mobile?


Option to deactivate 'i-safe' mobile application is available in the 'i-safe' tab on logging into your Internet Banking account. Once this facility is deactivated, you will start receiving OTP and URN on your registered mobile number by SMS.

I have registered for this facility, but have lost my mobile?


Option to deactivate 'i-safe' mobile application is available in the 'i-safe' tab on logging into your Internet Banking account. Once this facility is deactivated, you will start receiving OTP and URN on your registered mobile number by SMS.

I want to deactivate this facility?


'i-safe' mobile application enables you to generate OTP / URN instantly on your mobile phone instead of receiving it by SMS. If you still want to deactivate 'i-safe' mobile application, you can click on the 'i-safe Deactivation' option available under the 'i-safe' tab on logging into your Internet Banking account.

The i-safe mobile application generated an OTP even when I entered an incorrect PIN on my mobile phone.


Though the application generates OTP/URN on entering an incorrect PIN, this OTP/URN will not be accepted for authentication on the website.
