NRI Re-KYC FAQs
What are the various channels through which the customer can submit Re-KYC requests?
Customers can submit Re-KYC request through any of the following channels:
- Internet Banking: Log in to Internet Banking on icicibank.com/nri and submit online. Path: Internet Banking >> Customer Service >> Service Requests >> Bank Accounts >> Request for updation of Re-KYC
- iMobile app: Log in to the iMobile app and submit the request. Path: Customer Service >> Service Requests >> Request for updation of Re-KYC
- At any ICICI Bank Branch: Submit the documents along with photographs (of all account holders) and Customer Information Updation Form (duly signed by all the account holders) at an ICICI Bank Branch in India / Overseas. The customer must bring the original KYC documents for verification
- Through e-mail: The customer can send the Customer Information Updation Form (duly signed by all the account holders) with relevant documents through his / her registered e-mail ID at nri@icicibank.com or your relationship manager/ Branch Manager.
Can Mandate holder submit a request for KYC updation?
No. Re-KYC request can only be submitted by Account holders.
Can the KYC be updated with the document in post-marriage name even if the account is in pre-marriage name?
Yes. KYC updation request can be processed with documents in post-marriage name provided it is supported by a marriage certificate issued by the State Government and other factors are established to match the identity of the individual.
Can I provide Close / Blood relative’s address proof for address change if I don’t have address proof in my own name?
No. Address proof documents in the name of a close relative or spouse are not acceptable. Identity and Address proof must be submitted in the name of the customer only.
Are foreign passport holders required to submit a visa?
No. Foreign Passport holders do not require a Visa to enter / reside in the overseas country of their nationality. However, OCI / PIO Card or India connect document is required for establishing NRI status.
Do I need to submit all account holders’ KYC documents?
Yes. All applicants have to submit Re-KYC form along with all documents.
What document can I submit in case I do not have a PAN ?
In case you do not have a PAN and your annual Indian income is less than ₹<3,00,000>, then Form 60 is mandatory.
In case the customer does not have a PAN and their annual Indian income is more than ₹<3,00,000>, then PAN acknowledgment number is mandatory.
