What is Social Pay?


Social Pay feature allows users to add new recipients using social networking channels like WhatsApp, Gmail etc.

How to send the transaction request through Social Pay?


User can follow the below steps to initiate a Social Pay request:

  • Login to the Money2India App and enter the transaction amount
  • Select ‘Social Pay’ on the recipient screen and set a 4-digit passcode
  • Select overseas bank account details and purpose of payment
  • Review the transaction details
  • Share the transaction message and link through social channels like WhatsApp/ Twitter/ Gmail etc. to the recipient

What is passcode?


Passcode is a 4-digit code set by the user while initiating a Social Pay request. User should send the passcode to his/ her intended recipient.

 

Once the recipient accesses the link, he/ she is required to verify the passcode before submitting the bank account details on the link.

How will the user be notified when the recipient submits the bank account details?


Once the recipient successfully submits the bank account details on the link, the user will get a notification on the Money2India App.

How can the recipient submit his/ her bank details?


Recipient can follow the below simple steps to submit his/her bank details:

  • Access the transaction link received through the social channel
  • Verify the 4-digit passcode
  • Enter his/ her personal and bank account details

How is a transaction initiated once the recipient submits the bank details?


Once the recipient successfully submits the bank account details on the link, the user will get a notification on the Money2India App. The user should then follow the below steps to initiate the transaction:

  • Click on the notification
  • Confirm the recipient’s bank account details
  • Review and confirm the transaction details

What is the validity of the link?


The link is valid for one Social Pay request. Recipient can submit details of only one bank account on the link.

 

The link is valid for 24 hours. The recipient should submit his/ her bank account details on the link within 24 hours.

How many bank account details can be submitted by the recipient?


The link is valid for one Social Pay request. Recipient can submit details of only one bank account on the link.

Does the user need to send the Social Pay request if he/ she wants to send money to the same recipient again?


No. For subsequent transactions, the recipient will be available on ‘Select Recipient’ screen.

What all social channels can be used to send the transaction link to the recipient?


The social medial channels installed on the user’s phone can be used to send the transaction link. Example: WhatsApp, Gmail etc.

Is there any additional fee for using Social Pay?


No. There is no additional fee for using Social Pay to initiate Money2India transactions.
