How long is the Cashback campaign available to NRI Customers?

‘Cashback 123’ campaign is available on transactions/payments made through Internet Banking on new biller registrations for the Transaction types listed in the grid. New Billers need to be registered during the period April 01, 2016 to December 31, 2016 (both dates inclusive).

Transaction Eligibility:

When does my transaction become eligible for Cashback?

For the transaction to be eligible for cashback, it is mandatory that any of the transaction types listed in the grid is registered on Internet Banking from April 01, 2016 to December 31, 2016 (both dates inclusive).

Will a payment towards an existing registered biller be eligible for cashback?

Cashback 123 is applicable only on new registrations during the period April 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 (both dates inclusive). Hence, payment towards a biller registered before and/or after the campaign period will not be eligible for Cashback.

To help you understand better, we have prepared the below scenario.

1. Customer A has been making regular payments to one of his Telecom billers registered under ‘Bill Pay’. Customer A has now registered a ‘Utility’ biller under ‘Bill Pay’ on April 5, 2016. As Cashback 123 is applicable only on new registrations during the period April 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 (both dates inclusive) hence, the transaction performed on ‘Utility’ biller will be eligible for Cashback.

Minimum Transaction Count Eligibility:

What do you mean by Minimum Transactions?

To help you understand the logic for Minimum transaction, we have prepared scenarios which will help you.

Scenario 1. Customer A has made 3 payments to an Internet Biller registered under the transaction type ‘Bill Pay’ on April 5, 2016. As per the grid, the minimum transaction required to be eligible for a Cashback is 2 for ‘Bill Pay’ in a Quarter (from the date of first payment). Since 3 payments qualify to the minimum transaction requirement, the cashback credit will be done in the month of July 2016.

Scenario 2: Customer B has registered a Utility Biller and Telecom biller under the transaction type ‘Bill Pay’ on April 1, 2016 and April 5, 2016. Customer B makes payment of 2 bills for the Utility biller and 3 bills for Telecom biller for the quarter ending June 2016. The count of transaction will be considered as 5 for the quarter ending June 2016. Since 5 payments qualify to the minimum transaction requirement of 2 transactions, the cashback credit will be done in the month of July 2016.

Scenario 3: Customer C has registered a Utility Biller and Telecom biller under the transaction type ‘Bill Pay’ on April 1, 2016 and June 5, 2016. Customer C makes payment of 3 bills for the Utility biller and 1 bill for Telecom biller for the quarter ending June 2016. The count of transaction will be considered as 4 for the quarter ending June 2016. Since 4 payments qualify to the minimum transaction requirement of 2 transactions, the cashback credit will be done in the month of July 2016.

Cashback Payout and Maximum CAP:

What if I have made 1 payment each towards my 2 Insurance policies registered through Internet Banking from April 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. Will both the transactions be eligible for Cashback and what is the value of Cashback that I will get?

The Insurance policies registered during the offer period will be eligible for the Cashback offer. Secondly, since 2 payments qualify to the minimum transaction count requirement i.e. 1 as per the grid. So, 3% cashback payout will be applied on one of the two transactions having the highest value with a maximum limit of INR 2,000.

What do you mean by Cashback Payout & Maximum Cap?

To help you understand the logic for Cashback Payout & Maximum Cap, we have prepared scenarios which will help you.

Scenario 1: Customer A has made a payment towards 2 Insurance policies registered through Internet Banking from April 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. Since the Insurance policies are registered during the offer period it will be eligible for the Cashback offer. Secondly, 2 payments qualify to the minimum transaction count requirement i.e. 1 as per the grid. So, 3% cashback payout will be applied on one of the two transactions having the highest value with a maximum limit of INR 2,000.

Scenario 2: Customer B has registered a Utility Biller and Telecom biller under the transaction type ‘Bill Pay’ on April 1, 2016 and April 5, 2016. Customer B has made payment of 2 bills i.e. INR 10,000 and INR 12,000 on the Utility biller and 3 bills i.e. INR 5,000, INR 10,000 and INR 8,000 on Telecom biller for the quarter ending June 2016. Since the billers are registered during the offer period it will be eligible for the Cashback offer. 5 payments qualify the minimum transaction count for the transaction type ‘Bill Pay’ hence 1% cashback will be applicable on INR 12,000 (highest transaction value). So, customer’s ICICI Bank NRO Savings Account will be credited with INR 120 in July 2016.

What is Maximum CAP Amount?

For Transaction types which follow a Quarterly payout, customer can earn cashback value on the highest transaction value or a CAP limit of INR 250, whichever is lesser. Hence, customer can earn 4 such quarterly credits into the account on performing minimum transaction counts every quarter on registrations done during the offer period.

For Transaction types which follow a Yearly payout, customer can earn cashback on the highest transaction value or the CAP limit as mentioned in the grid, whichever is lesser. Customer can earn one such credit into the account on performing minimum transaction counts in a year on registrations done during the offer period

Will I be receiving credit every year on the billers registered during the offer period?

Cashback value is a one-time credit which you will receive on performing minimum transactions in a year on registrations done during the offer period.
