You can use this option to transfer funds

The accounts have to be in the same currency for a funds transfer transaction to be effected.

To transfer funds to your own accounts

To effect a successful transfer of funds transaction, you have to

  • Select the account from which funds have to be transferred
  • Select the account to which funds have to be transferred
  • Enter the amount
  • Confirm the transaction

What you see

Two drop down boxes each listing out all your accounts. One is a 'from' window where you have to select the account from which you want to transfer funds. The other is the 'pay' window where you have to select the account to which you want to transfer the funds. After selecting the accounts, you have to enter the following data:

Field Description
Transfer Amount Enter the amount that has to transferred.
Transaction remarks Enter any remark about the transaction. This is a free text field.
Click on To
Pay Transfer the amount
Back To return to the eCheques screen

Pending funds transfer transaction by a user can be viewed using the option Pending. A user can stop the transfer using Stop Transfer .

Stop Transfer
Select a pending funds transfer request from the displayed list.
When you click on Stop Transfer, the selected pending transaction will be stopped after confirmation.

The selected funds transfer request will be stopped and the

Click on To
Stop transfer Stop the selected transfer
Cancel Cancel the entries and return to the funds transfer screen

The selected funds transfer request will be stopped and the message 'Funds Transfer stopped successfully Completed' will be displayed.

You can also view the status of the transfers made ('successful' , 'failure') by clicking on the 'Status Enquiry' option

To Transfer funds to any ICICI bank account in the country

1. On clicking on 'Transfer funds to any ICICI bank account across India", you are taken to ''Make a Transfer" page.

2. Select the payee (person you want to pay to) from the list of payees in the drop down.

3. In case you have not registered for the payee, go to 'add a payee/beneficiary'. Enter the payee account number, account nickname and submit.

4. Your Payee Registration Request gets accepted and remains in "Pending Confirmation" status. You can transfer funds to the payee after you have "confirmed" the Payee. You must confirm the Payee registration within 1 day from the date of registration failing which your Payee Registration will be cancelled.

5. To confirm a Payee please follow the steps mentioned below:

You will receive a Unique Registration Number (URN) by SMS/email# in the next 15 minutes.



#NRI Customers will receive the URN on the registered email id
*URN - Unique Registration Number

Note:

Resident Customers

i) If you don't receive the URN, please make a request by sending URN < space> < payee nickname> as an SMS to 5676766 or 9215676766. (Not applicable for Account to Card transfer)
   
ii) You can add a Payee only if you are registered for Mobile Banking.
   
iii) To add/update your mobile number, please visit your nearest ICICI Bank branch.

NRI Customers

i) You can add a Payee only if you have registered an email id with us. To know the process of email id registration, kindly visit the View/Contact details page or call customer care.
   
ii) If you don't receive the URN, kindly call customer care to confirm the addition of the Payee.
   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 





 

6. After confirming Payee Registration and clicking on pay, you will be prompted to enter the transaction password.  On entering the correct transaction password, you will be asked to enter 3 digits selected at random from the 16 digit number of your ATM/Debit card linked to the Debit Account. To complete the transaction, you will need to enter all the 3 numbers correctly.

In case if you have been issued a Debit Card having with a grid (16 cells with alphabets from A to P and numbers printed in them ) table on the reverse of the card, you will be required to enter 3 values from them. These values have been randomly selected from 8 x 2 grid table.

All the 16 cells of the grid table are numbered from A to P and contain numeric values.

For example: You may be asked to enter the numeric grid values in Cell C, G and K which might be 21, 45 and 96. Your transaction will only be processed if you correctly enter these values from your grid table .

This change in the authentication procedure of entering values from the grid for online Funds Transfer transactions will happen after 45 days from the issue of the new Debit Card to you.

In case of this new mode of authentication for online Funds Transfer transactions will be followed even for joint accounts when either holder has been issued a Debit Card with the grid, this grid will be shown to you where either of the holders has been issued a Debit Card with grid table on the reverse of the card. If you do not have a Debit Card with a Grid, you may want to apply for a new Debit Card. You will be able to use your new Debit Card with grid for Internet Banking Fund Transfer authentication 45 days after it is issued to you.

Caution:

Any attempts at using your new Debit Card containing the grid for Internet Banking Funds Transfer authentication until before 45 days after of issuance, will lead your existing Transaction Password to to get locked.

7.In case you have registered for a beneficiary, you can check the status (approved/pending for approval/rejected) by clicking on 'View Beneficiary Details'

8. You can also delete a beneficiary (in case you don't want his record to appear) by clicking on 'Delete a Beneficiary'


9. To view the list of all pending scheduled payments, you can click on 'Pending Payments' .Choose on of the payments made and click on 'details' to view the payment details. You can also alter the schedule of the payment, the amount and the transaction remarks. At the time of altering the schedule, you will again need to provide your transaction password followed by the 3 digits selected at random from the 16 digit number of the ATM/Debit card linked to the Debit Account.

10. To view a list of all successful transactions done so far (both pending and scheduled), you can click on 'show Payments Made'.

11. On any given day the individual as well as the total fund transfers which can carry out in any of the three categories of
       - Transfer Funds to any ICICI Bank Account (apart from own linked account)
       - Transfer Funds to any Non ICICI Bank Account
       - Account to Card Transfer
cannot exceed Rs.5 lac for Resident Indian customer and Rs.5 lac for NRI customer.

12. Your Transaction Password will get locked if
       - incorrect Transaction Password is entered 5 times OR
      
       - incorrect ATM / Debit card number is entered 5 times independently of one another

13. You can request reissue of Transaction Password by
       - Applying Online for a new Transaction Password (Only for Resident customers)

       - Calling our 24 hour Customer Care Centre and asking for new Transaction Password

       - Visiting any ICICI Bank branch and asking for a new Transaction Password

In case your account is less than six months old, Resident Indian customers will need to apply at the branch for the Transaction Password.

You will receive the Transaction password within 7 working days at your communication address registered with us.

Please note:
Please do not attempt to use the old transaction password after you have submitted your request for new password, as this will cause the new Transaction Password to get locked.

Transfer Funds to any of the specified Non-ICICI Bank accounts with specified Banks
1. Click on 'Transfer funds to any of the specified non-ICICI Bank accounts with specified Banks'

2. The following options will be displayed:

Add an e-cheque beneficiary
Make a Payment
List of registered payees
Show payments made

3. A one-time registration for each beneficiary will have to be carried out. To do so, please click on 'Add an e-cheque beneficiary'

4. For registration, please provide the following details:

  • Beneficiary Name: This field is mandatory and is used to enter the beneficiary name. This can hold maximum of 30 characters.
  • Beneficiary Account No: This is a text field and is mandatory. The beneficiary account number should be entered here. This field can hold maximum of 15 characters.
  • Beneficiary Account Type: This field is a drop-down box which will prompt you to select the type of beneficiary account. Options on offer will be Savings Bank, Current Account, Cash Credit or Loan Account.
  • Beneficiary City: The beneficiary city name can be selected by navigating through the dropdown box.
    Beneficiary Bank: The beneficiary bank name can be selected by typing the abbreviated name or dropdown box.
  • Beneficiary Branch: On giving all the details given above, you will be shown all the list of all the branches of the selected bank at the selected location.

5. Your Payee Registration Request gets accepted and remains in 'Pending Confirmation' status. You can transfer funds to the payee after you have 'confirmed' the Payee. Please note that you need to confirm the Payee registration within 1 day from the date of registration failing which your Payee Registration will be cancelled.

7. Once you register a beneficiary or if you wish to transfer money to already registered beneficiary, you can click on 'Make a payment' link.

8. Here you will be shown the list of all the registered beneficiaries. You will have to select the beneficiary to whom you want to transfer the money.

9. You will then have to give the amount you want to transfer (this amount cannot be greater than limit i.e., Rs.2,00,000/- for NRI customers (Rs. 1,00,000/- in case of Resident Indian customers) and lesser than Rs. 1) in multiples of a rupee and schedule it to any date (i.e current date or any future date). Scheduled date will have to be a prior to the day when you want your account to be debited.

10. After filling the details and clicking on pay, you will be prompted to enter the transaction password. On entering the correct transaction password you will be asked to enter any 3 digits selected at random from the 16 digit number of the ATM/Debit card linked to the Debit Account. To complete the transaction, you will need to enter all the 3 numbers correctly.

New mode of authentication for online Funds Transfer transactions

In case, if you have been issued a Debit debit card with a grid (16 cells with alphabets from A to P and numbers printed on them ) table on the reverse of the card, then you will be required to enter 3 values from among them. These values which have been randomly selected by the system from the 8 x 2 grid table .

All the 16 cells of the grid table are numbered from A to P and contain numeric values.

For example: You may be asked enter the numeric grid values in cells C, G and K which might be 21, 45 and 96. Your transaction will only be processed only if you correctly enter these values from your grid table .
