Empowering Indians by imparting vocational skills

We believe that skill training can contribute significantly towards the growth of our nation. Driven by this belief, ICICI Foundation runs various skill development initiatives exclusively for the underprivileged people across the country. These programmes provide trainees with relevant vocational skills to enable them earn sustainable livelihoods.

ICICI Academy for Skills (IAS)

The Academy offers industry-relevant and job-oriented vocational training to youth from economically weaker sections of the society. The Academy has trained over 79,000 candidates through its 24 centres and empowered them to build a better future.

Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs)

As part of a national programme initiated by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), ICICI has set up RSETIs in Udaipur and Jodhpur. This programme focuses on providing free vocational training in locally-relevant skills that empower villagers to be self-reliant. The initiative also promotes entrepreneurship and development of micro-enterprises by providing loans.

Steering the less privileged towards a sustainable future
ICICI Foundation focuses on training underprivileged youth to ensure their effective participation in the growth of the country.
Over 79,000 youth trained by the ICICI Academy for Skills
The Academy's courses are specially crafted for underprivileged youth between the ages of 18 and 30 years. Minimum qualifications for joining a course and the course duration vary depending on the skill being imparted.
Over 61,000 individuals trained at ICICI Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs)
RSETIs offer 2-4 weeks courses for underprivileged rural people in the age group of 18-45 years. Qualifications and course duration depend on the skill being imparted.
Over 50,000 villagers trained by the ICICI Rural Initiative
Courses under the rural initiative are customised to suit the local requirements with a focus on practical execution of skills. All the trainees are additionally oriented on life skills, financial literacy and workplace organisation (Five S) to ensure a holistic learning experience.
Development programmes across diverse skills
We believe that it is vital to identify relevant skills for our training courses, so that our young trainees can use them effectively. ICICI offers over 49 skills through its various programmes.
ICICI Academy for Skills
The ICICI Academy for Skills offers industry-relevant and job-oriented training in 11 technical and office skills. To ensure best-in-class skill training programmes, the Academy has partnered with various industry leaders as knowledge partners to co-create the course curriculum and content and has also set-up laboratories for imparting practical training. The programme facilitators and trainers receive regular training, so that they are updated on the latest advancements in their respective industries.
ICICI Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs)
ICICI RSETIs offer 38 programmes to provide self-sustainable employment opportunities for rural youth. The training is customised to meet the requirements of the local economy. The needs of local employers are mapped to design relevant courses and their curricula.
ICICI Academy for School Rural Initiative offers training in locally relevant skills focusing on practical execution to help villagers become financially independent. As the programme continue to reach more number of villages, more skills will continue to get added as per the regional requirement.
Bridging the gap between skills and industry requirements
The ICICI Foundation has tied up with a large number of industry partners to provide employment opportunities to our trainees. We also promote self-employment and encourage them to set up their own micro-enterprises. Our trainees have been placed in over 1000 top companies post completion of their training programmes.The Academy has recorded 100% placements so far. The companies include:
