What is a Cardless Cash Withdrawal transaction?


A Cardless Cash Withdrawal transaction enables the sender to transfer cash from an ICICI Bank account to anyone with a valid mobile number across India. The beneficiary can withdraw the amount from any specified ICICI Bank ATM without having to use an ATM or Debit Card.

Who is eligible to avail of the Cardless Cash Withdrawal facility?


The Cardless Cash Withdrawal facility can be initiated by any ICICI Bank Current Account customer (sender) registered for Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) with transaction access. The beneficiary may or may not be a Bank customer. In case of bulk payments, customer needs to be enabled for Bulk Cardless Cash Withdrawal on CIB.

How is it different from the existing funds transfer service of ICICI Bank?


The Cardless Cash Withdrawal service has an advantage over the existing fund transfer service, as it enables the sender to transfer funds from an ICICI Bank account to a beneficiary who may or may not have a bank account. It also empowers the beneficiary to withdraw the amount from a Cardless Cash withdrawal enabled ICICI Bank ATM without using any ATM/ Debit Card.

What are the pre-requisites for using a Cardless Cash Withdrawal transaction?


To avail Cardless Cash Withdrawal service, you need to be registered with ICICI Bank Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) with transaction access. In case of bulk payments, customer needs to be enabled for Bulk Cardless Cash Withdrawal on CIB. To register for CIB or get additional access of Bulk Cardless Cash Withdrawal, simply visit the nearest ICICI Bank branch.

What is the detailed process of using Cardless Cash Withdrawal through CIB?


To make a Cardless Cash Withdrawal, you will need the CIB Corporate ID, User ID, Login Password, Transaction Password and a Business Banking Debit / Inquiry Card mapped to your account. Simply follow these easy steps:

 

Single Cardless Cash Withdrawal

 

Step 1. Request for Cardless Cash Withdrawal

  • Login to CIB with your Corporate ID, User ID and Login Password
  • Register a beneficiary / payee
    • Go to ‘Transfers’ section and select Cardless Cash Withdrawal Single Payment
    • Go to ‘Register an SMSNCash Payee’
    • Enter the Payee details – Payee name, Nickname, Payee mobile number, Payee address, Payee city and Payee PIN code
    • Confirm the Payee registration by entering the Unique Registration Number (URN) received on your registered mobile number
  • Transfer with Cardless Cash Withdrawal service
    • Go to ‘Transfers’ section and select Cardless Cash Withdrawal Single Payment
    • Select the account to be debited and select the Cardless Cash Withdrawal beneficiary from the registered Payee list
    • Enter the transaction amount
    • Authenticate the transaction using Transaction Password
    • The selected account will get debited

Step 2. SMS from ICICI Bank

  • You will receive a unique 4-digit verification code through SMS from ICICI Bank on your registered mobile number
  • Please share the 4-digit verification code with the beneficiaryy
  • The beneficiary will also receive a unique 6-digit verification code through SMS from ICICI Bank on their mobile phone

Step 3. Cash withdrawal from ICICI Bank ATM by beneficiary

  • You will receive a unique 4-digit verification code through SMS from ICICI Bank on your registered mobile number. Please share the same with the beneficiary.
  • The beneficiary has to visit a Cardless Cash withdrawal enabled ICICI Bank ATM and enter the following details:
    • Beneficiary's mobile number
    • 4-digit verification code (as received by the Sender through SMS)
    • 6-digit verification code (as received by the beneficiary through SMS)
    • Amount to be withdrawn (in INR)
  • The cash will be dispensed on successful authentication of these 4 parameters. The entire amount needs to be withdrawn by the beneficiary as a one-time transaction.
  • If there is any mismatch in the details entered by the beneficiary, the Cardless Cash Withdrawal transaction will be blocked and the amount will be returned to the Sender's account.

 

Bulk Cardless Cash Withdrawal

 

Step 1. Request for Cardless Cash Withdrawal

  • Login to CIB with your Corporate ID, User ID and Login Password
  • Transfer with Cardless Cash Withdrawal service
    • Go to ‘Transfers’ section and select Cardless Cash Withdrawal Bulk Payment
    • Upload the file in the required format
    • Select the account to be debited
    • Enter the transaction amount
    • Authenticate the transaction using OTP and Transaction Password
    • The selected account will get debited

     

    Step 2. SMS from ICICI Bank

    • The beneficiary will receive a unique 4-digit verification code and 6-digit code through SMS from ICICI Bank on their mobile phone

     

    Step 3. Cash withdrawal from ICICI Bank ATM by beneficiary

    • The beneficiary has to visit a Cardless Cash withdrawal enabled ICICI Bank ATM and enter the following details:
      • Beneficiary's mobile number
      • 4-digit verification code (as received by the beneficiary through SMS)
      • 6-digit verification code (as received by the beneficiary through SMS)
      • Amount to be withdrawn (in INR)
    • The cash will be dispensed on successful authentication of these 4 parameters. The entire amount needs to be withdrawn by the beneficiary as a one-time transaction.
    • If there is any mismatch in the details entered by the beneficiary, the Cardless Cash Withdrawal transaction will be blocked and the amount will be returned to the Sender's account.

Is this a secure way of transferring funds?


Cardless Cash Withdrawal is a secure fund transfer service as it requires the following steps to conduct the transaction:

  • The transactions can only be initiated using your CIB Corporate ID, User ID and Login Password.
  • In case of Single Cardless Cash Withdrawal, the payees need to be registered using Unique Registration Number (URN). In case of Bulk Cardless Cash Withdrawal, One Time Password (OTP) needs to be entered for each bulk file upload.
  • A second-level authentication uses CIB Transaction Password to complete the transaction.

What is the process of cancellation of a Cardless Cash Withdrawal request?


You can cancel only an active Cardless Cash Withdrawal request. Please follow the below steps:

 

Single Cardless Cash Withdrawal

  • Login to CIB with Corporate ID, User ID and Login Password
  • Go to ‘Transfers’ section and select Cardless Cash Withdrawal Single Payment
  • Select ‘View Payments Made’
  • Select the active Cardless Cash Withdrawal request and select ‘Reject Transaction'
  • Confirm the cancellation request
  • The remittance amount will be credited to the account after successful execution of the Reject Transaction' request.

Bulk Cardless Cash Withdrawal

  • Login to CIB with Corporate ID, User ID and Login Password
  • Go to ‘Transfers’ section and select Cardless Cash Withdrawal Bulk Payment
  • Select ‘Status Enquiry’
  • Search the transaction
  • Select the active Cardless Cash Withdrawal request and select ‘Reject Transaction'
  • Confirm the cancellation request
  • The remittance amount will be credited to the account after successful execution of the Reject Transaction' request.

What amount can I transfer per transaction?


The maximum transaction amount per transaction is INR 10,000. Also, the maximum amount per beneficiary cannot exceed INR 25,000 in a month.

What is the Transaction Fee for this service?


ICICI Bank will charge INR 25 inclusive of Service Tax per transaction. In case of Bulk Cardless Cash Withdrawal, ICICI Bank will charge INR 25 inclusive of Service Tax for every record uploaded. For example, if there are 10 records in 1 bulk upload, the total charges will be INR 250.

How long will the code and transaction be valid for?


The transaction and code will be valid until midnight, one day later. In case the code is not used, the transaction amount will be reversed to the sender’s account, however the transaction charges will not be refunded.

 

For example, if the transaction is initiated on January 9, 2015 at 3:00 p.m; it will be valid till next day i.e. January 10, 2015 11:59 p.m.
