What is iMobile SmartKeys Application?


iMobile SmartKeys is a new service which enables you to transfer funds using your smartphone’s keyboard swiftly with a few clicks, without the need to switch between applications. This feature uses quick and secure state of the art technology. So no more switching of applications, no OTPs and no grid card validation.

Is it available in all operating systems?


It is currently available on iOS. Android version will be released soon!

Which iPhone model and OS version will this work on?


It is available on iPhone 5 and above and OS version iOS 8.1 and above.

What services are provided under SmartKeys?


Below mentioned services will be provided under SmartKeys

  • Fund Transfer for Payees (ICICI Bank, Non – ICICI Bank
  • Favourites (For all the transactions that you have saved as favourite on the iMobile app)
    1. Recharges - Mobile Recharge
    2. Registered Payment biller
    3. Fund Transfer – Within ICICI, NEFT, IMPS

How can we access this service?


If you have set MPIN as a method of login during activation of iMobile or have registered Touch ID for authentication on iMobile then you can access this service. All you need to do is enable iMobile Keyboard from the Keyboard option in General Settings.

How is this service different from the existing iMobile app?


iMobile is a complete suite where a host of services can be availed. This service is a part of iMobile app using which you can transfer funds using any chat messenger. You don’t need to pause your chat or switch apps to transfer funds. This service helps you to do fund transfer in just 4 steps.

 

Switch keyboard -> Login -> Select Payee/ Favourites > Enter Amount & Submit.

Process – iMobile SmartKeys

How to enable this feature?


Steps:

  1. Install upgraded version of iMobile from App store.
  2. If you are a first time user of iMobile, please activate the app successfully.
  3. Enable the iMobile SmartKeys by using the following steps-
    1. Go to Setting -> General - > Keyboard -> Keyboards -> Add New keyboard
  4. Add iMobile keyboard and provide full access to the Keyboard.

That’s it, you are ready to use SmartKeys.

How can I launch SmartKeys?


SmartKeys can be launched from anywhere where default keyboard is open in iPhone. It can be during chatting through social messenger, creating message, writing email, phone search, search through browser, contacts search or anywhere where default keyboard of phone is invoked.

 

Steps:

  1. Open default keyboard.
  2. Long press globe icon , it will be list down all keyboard which are enabled.
  3. Click on iMobile SmartKeys. It will give pop-up for Touch ID if applicable or MPIN screen to login. If customer as not done activation, the welcome message with activation link is shown.

I have added iMobile SmartKeys keyboard but I am still not able to see login MPIN screen?


Looks like you haven’t given full access to keyboard. Please click on link given which will take you to phone settings to give full access for added iMobile SmartKeys keyboard.

Is it secure?


Yes. This feature is extended functionality of iMobile so the complete security framework is same.

Login and Logout

How do I login?


You can login using MPIN and Touch ID if registered (iPhone 5s and above).

What will happen in case I forget MPIN?


In case you have forgotten MPIN, please launch iMobile and click on Forgot MPIN link to do re-activation.

I entered wrong PIN 3 times, what should I do?


Nothing to worry about. A message will be displayed on your screen saying “You have exceeded 3 PIN Verification attempts. Please re-activate iMobile”. Just launch iMobile to re-activate.

What if I don’t have a MPIN?


MPIN is required to use the iMobile SmartKeys Application. When iMobile activation is done it gives an option to choose MPIN or UserID and Password for authentication purpose. If you would like to access iMobile SmartKeys application then we request you to do uninstall/install iMobile App and do the activation again.

How do I logout?


There are two options to log out from every screen.

  1. From any screen, long press which will give option to switch keyboard and it will act as logout as well.
  2. After successful transaction, click on notify which will logout and create a social message.

Transactions

Explain the steps to do a fund transfer?


It’s very simple!!!

 

Steps:

  1. Launch iMobile SmartKeys – Long press , which will display all keyboards enabled through keyboard settings.
  2. Authenticate using Touch ID or MPIN.
  3. Select Payee you want to transfer money from list of Payees.
  4. Entire Amount.
  5. If multiple accounts are linked then account switching can be done by long pressing . Selected account with its balance will be displayed on the screen below amount.
  6. Click on submit.
  7. Reference number along with other required details will be displayed on the screen.
  8. If you wish to transfer again click on home or click on Notify again to send social message which will also logout.

It just requires few seconds to finish the transaction.

Explain the steps to do transactions using ‘Save as Favourite’?


  1. Launch iMobile SmartKeys – Long press , which will display all keyboards enabled through keyboard settings.
  2. Authenticate using Touch ID or MPIN.
  3. Click on Choose Favourites and select one of the favourites saved.
  4. It will pre-fill amount and show selected Favourites. Amount field is editable to change the amount.
  5. If multiple accounts are linked then account switching can be done by long pressing . Selected account with its balance will be displayed on the screen below amount.
  6. Click on submit.
  7. Reference number along with other required details will be displayed on the screen.

If you wish to transfer again click on home or click on Notify again to send social message which will also logout.

 

It just requires few seconds to finish the transaction.

Neither grid details nor OTP is asked while completing the transactions?


We have gone one step ahead to enhance the security and convenience for customer to do away with grid details verification. Instead we are seamlessly verifying genuine customer by using Device ID authentication. Device ID is unique to mobile phone and customer so it satisfies all parameters of security.

 

Grid details verification is done only in cases where iPhone is jail broken.( i.e. Locked Phone is unlocked. )

It didn’t ask me for option of selecting mode of payments in Fund Transfer where payees belongs to other banks like in iMobile?


We are using IMPS mode of payments as default mode to do instantaneous transfers.

How can I select different debiting account?


If multiple accounts are linked then account switching can be done by long pressing . Selected account with its balance will be displayed on the screen below amount.

What is maximum limit for fund transfer?


We have kept maximum limit of transfer to Rs.1,00,000.

What is maximum limit for Mobile Recharge?


We have kept maximum limit for Mobile Recharges to Rs.1500.

What is maximum limit for Bill Payment?


There is no maximum limit.

What happens if the transaction fails?


If transaction fails then Reference number is shown on the screen. If any amount is debited, it will be reversed back as per process.

If I want to change the Payee ID selected, how do I do this?


On Amount screen, tap on back button on bottom left to go back to Payee list page.

What If amount entered is wrong?


If Amount entered is wrong, delete button is provided next to amount field.
