What is NetExpress?
NetExpress is a completely online money transfer facility for remitters in Singapore, Canada, UK, France, Germany and Australia.

NetExpress in Singapore:

This facility is being offered to remitters in Singapore in association with DBS/POSB Bank, Singapore. Using this service, account holders of DBS/POSB Bank can transfer funds directly from their bank accounts to beneficiaries in India.

NetExpress in Canada:

This facility is being offered to remitters in Canada in association with TelPay Inc., an e-payment service provider based in Canada. Using this service, registered users of TelPay Online (Direct) in Canada or customers of financial institutions using TelPay bill payment service can transfer funds directly from their bank accounts to beneficiaries in India.

NetExpress in UK, Germany, France and Australia:

Remitters having internet banking facility for their checking accounts with banks in UK, Germany, France or Australia can use NetExpress. Additionally, only customers of banks offering the following will be able to use this facility:

•   Online third-party funds transfer/payment option on their Internet banking website and
•  A "Remarks" or "Message to Recipient" field while making the online third-party transfer, to enter the Tracking     Number generated on Money2India.

Is it necessary for the beneficiary or me to have an account with ICICI Bank?
No. Neither the beneficiary nor the remitter needs to have an account with ICICI Bank to send money through NetExpress.
 
   
   
   

How soon will a beneficiary with an ICICI Bank account receive the money?

Singapore : The money would be credited to the beneficiary account on the next working day.
Canada: It would take 5 working days for the money to be credited to the ICICI Bank account.
UK : It would take 5 working days for the money to be credited to the ICICI Bank account.
Germany and France : It would take 3 working days for the money to be credited to the ICICI Bank Account.
Australia : It would take 3 working days for the money to be credited to the ICICI Bank Account.

Please note that the above timelines are applicable after you have initiated the money transfer from your local bank's internet banking facility. Timeline excludes banking holidays, saturday and sunday in the remitting country and India.

 
   
   
   
How will a beneficiary who does not have an ICICI Bank account receive the money?
NetExpress can be used to send money directly into accounts with over 100 other banks participating in the electronic credit facility provided by the Reserve Bank of India that allows electronic transfer of funds or through request for issuance of Demand Draft payable at over 2300 locations in India. This facility can also be used to directly credit any Visa credit/debit card account in India.
 
   
   
   
How soon will the beneficiary get the DD?
In case of demand draft requests, the draft will be dispatched within 1-2 working days of ICICI Bank receiving the money.

The DD is sent to the beneficiary either by courier or registered post depending upon the beneficiary's address. A courier dispatch would take about 2-3 days to reach the beneficiary, while registered post would take about 8-10 days. How much time will it take to credit a non-ICICI Bank account?
ICICI Bank will process and send the money into electronic clearing for credit into the beneficiary's bank account within 2 working days of receiving the money.  Electronic credits are typically posted by the beneficiary's bank within 1-3 working days.

 
   
   
   
How long does it take to credit my beneficiary's Visa card account?
The card-issuing bank typically processes the credit requests to a Visa card account* within 3 working days. In case there is a delay in credit to your beneficiary's Visa card beyond 3 working days, please write to us at Email Us with the subject line as "Delay in Visa card credit". Kindly mention the details of the transaction along with the Tracking Number to enable us to assist you further.

What are the charges for NetExpress?

Nominal charges levied as below:

Remittance Service charge** : Nominal charge of SGD 5 for SGD 2000 and below, CAD 4 for CAD 1500 and below, GBP 2 for GBP 500 and below, EUR 2 for EUR 800 and below and AUD 5 for AUD 1500 and below..

No Remittance service charge applicable for larger amounts.

Ready cash payouts at select ICICI Bank branches in India for a charge of SGD 8/ CAD 7/ GBP 5/ EUR 5/ AUD 8 as applicable.
(** All remittance service charges indicated here are inclusive of service tax @12.36%)

Foreign currency conversion charge: A nominal charge of INR 25 (inclusive of service tax)will be levied on every remittance request where foreign currency conversion* is carried out on or after May 16th 2008. This charge would be deducted from the amount to be paid to the beneficiary.

*The INR 25 (inclusive of service tax) charge will be levied for disbursements in INR currency. For FCNR deposit requests involving currency conversion, there will be a nominal charge of USD 1 (or equivalent of the deposit currency) deducted from the FCNR deposit amount.
 
   
   
   
How much money can I send through NetExpress?
You need to first check with your local bank on the limits imposed on electronic third party funds transfer / payments through Internet banking.

Money2India imposes no maximum limits on the amounts that can be remitted for direct credit to both ICICI Bank and non-ICICI Bank accounts for UK, Germany, France and Australia.

The maximum limits for Singapore are:
SGD 100,000 per day for ICICI Bank Account transfers
SGD 10,000 per day for non-ICICI Bank Account transfers and Visa card transfers

The maximum limits for Canada are:
CAD 4,000 per day for ICICI Bank Account transfers
CAD 15,000 per week for non-ICICI Bank Account transfers

Do I need to enter a new Tracking Number on my Internet banking account for every new transfer?
Yes. Even if you are sending money to the same beneficiary again, you must make a fresh request on Money2India and enter the new Tracking Number in your Internet banking account while funding the request.
 
   
   
   

What if my online banking account does not have a ‘Remarks’ or ‘Message to Recipient’ field?
In that case you should send the following details from your Money2India registered e-mail id to Email Us

•   Overseas Bank Account Number
•   Overseas Bank Clearing Code
•   Date when overseas account was debited
•   Amount that was debited from your account
•   M2N Tracking Number
