STUDENT's submitting application for account opening at ICICI Bank Branch in India or Overseas
 
     
Photocopy of the relevant pages of your current passport where your name, address, date of birth, date & place of issue, expiry date, photograph & signature appear. The signature on your passport should be clearly visible and should exactly match the signature on your Registration Form.  
   
Photocopy of Valid student visa. In case of expired student visas, duly acknowledged petitions made to the Visa Authorities for renewal of Visas will be accepted as a valid document.
 
   
Only for USA customers

Copy of valid F1/ F2 (in lieu of the student visa)
or
Employment Authorisation Card. Advance Parol will be required if You are outside USA and reentry not allowed on Employment Authorisation Card

The signature on your passport should be clearly visible and should exactly match the signature on your Registration Form.  
   
Photocopy of Valid student visa. In case of expired student visas, duly acknowledged petitions made to the Visa Authorities for renewal of Visas will be accepted as a valid document.  
   
Only for USA customers

Copy of valid F1/ F2 (in lieu of the student visa)
or

Attestation on the photocopies of all the documents to be done by any one of the following - Banker / Financial Institution / Credit Unions/ Indian Embassy / Notary (or equivalent of notary as per applicable law).

Any one of the following 3 documents

· Copy of any letter received from your existing banker in India / Abroad (dated within last 6 months)
 - The communication should be on the Letterhead of the bank, stamped and signed.
 - Electronically generated statements not requiring signature or documents with printed signatures will not be accepted.

· An original cheque issued by you and paid by your banker outside India. The cheque should have cleared in the last 6 months. For banks which no longer return paid cheques, the customer can take a print of the same from Internet banking login and get it stamped from the same bank.

· Copy of the latest statement of bank account or relevant sheets of passbook of your account in India / Abroad (atleast one month statement with minimum 2 customer induced transactions)

Additionally the following documents/ attachments would be required.

a. Self - attested copy of Admission Letter from the University where the Student has been admitted;

b. Name & Address of the parent/guardian and Details of Bank Account of the parent/guardian held with ICICI Bank or any other Bank (Annexure I)

c. Additional Details: (Annexure III needs to be filled by the Student and submitted along with the account opening form.)
    · Objective of Opening the Account.
    · Source of Funding the Account.
    · Expected Monthly Funding into the Account.
    · Expected Monthly Withdrawals from the Account
    · Usage of Channels & Monthly Usage to fund the account

d. Within 180 days from the date of submission of the AOF, and before allowing any operations in the account, the student account holder would be required to submit the following documents as his overseas address proof-
    · A letter from his University stating his overseas address OR
    · Identity Card issued to him by the University which contains his address OR
    · Bills paid abroad (Credit Card/ Utility Bills) OR
    · Driver's Licence issued by a competent authority in his country of residence.

e. Only for USA customers: I-20 OR identity card to be provided

If the student account holder is already residing abroad and has adequate address proof as above, then the above document(s) may be collected at the time of account opening, in which case, the above restriction in account operation would not apply.
The customer would have to send the above-mentioned documents along with a letter (Annexure IV)
