NetExpress is a completely online money transfer facility for remitters in Australia.

 
NetExpress in Australia.

Remitters having internet banking facility for their checking accounts with banks in Australia can use NetExpress. Additionally, only customers of banks offering the following will be able to use this facility:

  1. Online third-party funds transfers/payments on their Internet banking website and,

  2. A “Remarks” or “Message to Recipient” field while making the online third-party transfer, to enter the Tracking Number generated on Money2India.

3. Is it necessary for the beneficiary or me to have an account with ICICI Bank?
Neither the beneficiary nor the remitter is required to maintain an account with ICICI Bank for sending money through NetExpress.
4. When does the beneficiary having an account with ICICI Bank receive money?
The time taken to credit an ICICI Bank account would be 3 working day.
5. How will the money reach the beneficiary if he / she does not have an account with ICICI Bank?  
NetExpress can be used to send money directly into accounts with over 30 other banks participating in the electronic credit facility provided by the Reserve Bank of India that allows electronic transfer of funds or through request for issuance of Demand Draft payable at over 1760 locations in India.
6. How fast would the DD reach the beneficiary?
The DD is sent to the beneficiary either by courier or registered post depending upon the beneficiary's address. A courier dispatch would take about 2-3 days to reach the beneficiary, while registered post would take about 8-10 days. You can check the complete details using our online "Track your Remittance" facility after logging in to Money2India site.
7. In how much time will a non-ICICI Bank account get credited?
Direct credits to non-ICICI Banks typically happen two working days after the money is sent to the beneficiary's bank.

8. For what purpose can I send money to India?
Some of the typical purposes for which you can use NetExpress to send money are:

  • For crediting your (the remitter) own NRO/NRE savings account, NRE/NRO fixed deposits and FCNR deposits
  • For crediting beneficiary's savings account
  • For supporting your family
  • For gifts
  • For investments as well as for payments
9.  What are the charges for NetExpress?
Credits to all ICICI Bank accounts are FREE. Direct credits to non-ICICI Bank accounts and issuance of Demand Drafts above AUD 1500 will be FREE. For amounts lower than that, nominal charges will be levied.
10. How much money can we send through NetExpress?
Minimum amount:
The minimum amount you can send is AUD 100.
Maximum amount:
There is no upper limit for direct credit to both ICICI Bank and non-ICICI Bank accounts. However, for Demand Drafts, the maximum amount that can be sent is AUD 5000.
11. Do I need to enter a new Tracking Number on my bank's website for every new transfer?
Yes, even if you are sending money to the same beneficiary again, you will still need to place a fresh request on Money2India and enter the new Tracking Number on your bank's internet banking website.
 
12. What if my bank does not have a “Remarks” or “Message to Recipient” field?

Remitters are requested to send a mail from their Money2India registered e-mail ID providing the below details:

  1. Overseas Bank Account Number
  2. Overseas Bank Sort Code
  3. Date when overseas account was debited
  4. Amount for which account was debited
  5. M2N Tracking Number
  6. Beneficiary name

13. How long does it take to credit my beneficiary's Visa card account?
The card-issuing bank typically processes the credit requests to a Visa card account within 3 working days. In case there is a delay in credit to your beneficiary's Visa card beyond 3 working days, please write to us at nri@icicibank.com with the subject line as "Delay in Visa card credit". Kindly mention the details of the transaction along with the Tracking Number to enable us to assist you further.
