| Important Things to Know before your Initiate an Account Closure in Your Account |
1. Signatures of all the account holders are mandatory for account closure .Pls note that a mandate holder cannot submit an account closure request. |
2. Signature on account closure form must match the signature as per bank records. In case of mismatch in Signature, fill the Signature Change related details |
3. Please surrender all the unused cheque leaves and the ATM/debit cards linked to the account or fill the declaration in the form that they cannot be submitted. |
4. In case trading account is linked to your account,please fill the declaration to delink the trading account. |
5. In case the account is in debit, it has to be funded before it can be closed. |
6. If the account is closed within one year, Rs 562 is charged as account closure charge. If you are maintaining any other relationship with the bank in terms of any other bank account, the closure charges will be waived. Please fill the declaration in the form for the same. |
7. Please fill the declaration in the form for the mode of disbursement of funds after your account is closed. |
8. Please note that Account cannot be closed in case freeze /lien is marked in your account. |
