FREE money transfers
to India
You can transfer money FREE of cost to India through
your ICICI Bank NRE Savings Account. You can fund the Account
simply by mailing a cheque to designated locations across
the world. U.S customers can fund the Account online through
our ACH service.
Once the Account is funded your family member can withdraw
funds simply through a Family ATM card. You can choose to
give a family member a Family ATM card. Your family member
can use the Family ATM card to withdraw cash from any of
the 1300 ICICI Bank ATMs spread across India. They can even
use the Family ATM card to shop at over 30,000 shops and
merchant establishments across the country. If your folks
back home would rather prefer using cheques then they can
even use your Cheque book (provided you give them the mandate
to do so). Your family member can use the cheque to make
any payments from the account or can withdraw cash using
the cheque book at any of our over 400 branches across the
country.
The cheques have to be mailed to our Cheque
Lock Box locations across the world. You can mail U.S Dollar
cheques to our Cheque Lock Box in the U.S, GBP cheques to
our Cheque Lock Box in U.K and Euro Cheques to our Cheque
Lock Box in Frankfurt or Paris. If you wish to fund your
Account from any other location, you may courier your cheque
to

card. Through this he / she can withdraw money easily
from over 1300 ATMs spread across India.

need to appoint a member of your family as the Mandate
Holder.
Interest on balances
upto Rs. 25000 + Automatic Fixed Deposits facility
- Earn 4% interest on balances upto Rs. 25,000
- Balance above Rs. 25000 earns interest
rates of Fixed Deposit.
- Fixed deposit created in units
of Rs. 5,000 and will be for a minimum period of one year.
- You can withdraw the entire amount in the fixed deposit
anytime by issuing a cheque or through your Debit Card
/ ATM Card.
