| |
NRI account holders of
ICICI Bank are provided with deposit slips, which can
be used by them to deposit funds (either in cash or
a cheque drawn on a Canadian bank in Canadian Dollars)
at any Bank of Montreal branch. The remitter needs to
fill in the beneficiary's name and 12 digit account
number (with ICICI Bank) and the money would be transferred
to the beneficiary's any ICICI Bank Account. |

do I receive the deposit slips? |

Deposit slips are personalised
for the NRI account holder, with his name and the account
number being pre-printed on it. The deposit slips have
been printed and despatched to all existing account
holders residing in Canada. As and when new accounts
are opened, deposit slips would be dispatched to them
also. |

slips for cash deposit and cheque deposit. The cash
deposit slip is pink coloured and the cheque deposit

to use the HomePoint

No, you can make a deposit
of any amount. However, the Bank of Montreal branch

a deposit above a specific amount as specified by Bank

Yes, each deposit slip
has been given a 4 digit unique number, which is mentioned
as an extension of your 12 digit account number. In
case you want to enquire about a particular deposit

What
is the time taken for crediting the beneficiary's account? |
| |
For cash deposit
- The money would be credited within 2 Indian banking
hours.
If the deposit is made at 2.00 PM Toronto time (i.e
11.30 PM India time), the money would be credited
to the beneficiary's account by 11.00 AM India time
next day (i.e. 1.30 AM Toronto time).
For cheque deposit
- The money would be credited on the 3rd working day
from the date of the deposit. However, if the amount
is greater than CAD 8000, a debit freeze would be
put on the amount for 8 working days (from the date
of the deposit).

Can
I open a Fixed Deposit using HomePoint? |

HomePoint
can be used only to credit a savings or a current account
with ICICI Bank. It cannot be used to open a Fixed Deposit.
However, you may make a request to open a Fixed Deposit
from your ICICI Bank account. |

are the charges for the service? |
| |
CAD 5 will be charged
per transaction, which would be deducted from the amount
sent by the remitter.

is the exchange rate applied by you? |

The exchange rate prevailing
on the date on which the money is credited to the beneficiary's
account is used to convert the remitted amount from
Canadian Dollars to Indian Rupees. The indicative exchange
