Dr. Nachiket Mor

Mr Nachiket Mor is the Deputy Managing Director of ICICI Bank Limited. Mr Mor is responsible for government banking, agriculture, rural and micro banking, social initiatives, proprietary trading and implementation of best practices in risk management on a group-wide basis.

Mr Mor joined the erstwhile ICICI Ltd in 1987 and has worked in the areas of corporate planning, project finance and treasury. In addition to his work within ICICI Bank, he is a member of the Boards of Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), CARE USA and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).

A Yale World Fellow (2004), Mr Mor has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania with a specialization in finance from the Wharton School; a masters degree in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and an undergraduate degree in physics from the Mumbai University. While completing his Ph.D., he was associated with a Philadelphia-based hedge fund (Quantitative Financial Strategies) for three years.
