ICICI Bank i-safe

At ICICI Bank, convenience and safety of your account is of utmost importance. In view of this, we introduced "i-safe" an application to enhance the security of your online account with additional authentication of One Time Password (OTP), which is sent to your registered mobile number / e-mail ID*.

 

In event of any unusual activity in your Internet Banking access pattern, 'i-safe' will generate One Time Password (OTP) that will be sent to your mobile number / e-mail ID* registered with us. Authenticating the OTP on Internet Banking 'One Time Password Authentication' page is mandatory to access your account online.

 

*OTP is sent on the registered mobile number to Resident Account holders and on e-mail ID to Non Resident Account holders.

Benefits

  • Sends an SMS / e-mail incase of an unusual access pattern in your Internet Banking account.
  • Online account can be accessed only after additional authentication of OTP.

Note

  • Do not share OTP with anyone, even if the person claims to be an ICICI Bank official.
  • Do not close your browser. OTP sent to you is valid for the current session only.
  • Ensure Anti-virus, JAVA and Flash Player is installed on your computer.

For Resident Account holders

i-safe OTP through SMS


  • OTP will be sent to the Mobile Number registered in your account.
  • Enter this OTP on the 'One Time Password Authentication' page.
  • If you do not receive the OTP, even if your mobile number is updated, you can send a request to receive the OTP.
  • SMS 'IBOTP' from your registered mobile number to 5676766 or 98215676766

  • After successful OTP authentication, you can access your Internet Banking Account.

Note

  • Every login with an unusual access pattern will generate a new OTP. Please enter the new OTP to access your Internet Banking Account.

i-safe OTP through 'i-safe' mobile application


ICICI Bank has launched 'i-safe' mobile application which will help you generate OTP on your mobile handset instead of receiving it through SMS.

 

Benefits

  • Generate OTP / Unique Registration Number* (URN) instantly on your mobile phone instead of receiving it by SMS
  • Easy access to internet banking account for frequent travelers since OTP can be generated without registered mobile number being on the network.#

 

* Unique Registration Number is required to confirm a payee for transfer of funds to any other bank account.

# You will require your existing mobile number to be GPRS enabled and registered to activate isafe mobile application

Step 1: Download the application on registered mobile

Step 2: Set PIN on Internet Banking

Step 3: Activate application on registered mobile

Step 4: Verify OTP on Internet Banking

Important Note

  • Since this facility enables you to generate OTP and URN on our mobile phone, registering for this facility will disable the functionality of receiving OTP and URN by SMS.
  • If you wish to deactivate this facility please click the 'isafe deactivation' option and start receiving OTP and URN on your registered mobile number.
  • Please complete the activation of this application before you travel to a location where your registered mobile number will not be active.
