What is Mobile Recharge Top-Up?
Mobile Top-Up is a facility to recharge your prepaid mobile phone
using ICICI Bank Internet Banking. You can use this service to increase
talk-time (airtime) for existing Pre Paid Mobile connection. For
example: Ramesh stays in Mumbai and has Vodafone prepaid Phone. To
recharge his prepaid card, Ramesh can log onto www.icicibank.com and submit his request online.

How Top-Up is different than Mobile Recharge through Recharge Codes?
Under
Mobile top-up, you do not require to buy recharge codes of preset
denominations. You can choose your own amount and submit your request
online. No recharge code is released and airtime (talk-time) limit
is increased automatically without any additional requirement.

Is there any additional charge levied by the Bank/ Operator?
No. ICICI Bank provides this facility free of Charge for its Customers.

Where can I enter the denomination of Recharge amount?
You can enter the denomination of the recharge amount in the “Amount” field of the Pre-paid Mobile Recharge page. The Mobile Top-Up facility gives you the flexibility to recharge your prepaid-mode phone for any amount subject to certain limits. No pre-set denomination needs to be specified and you can enter the amount for which you want the top-up to be executed.

When my Bank Account will be debited?
Your bank account will be debited immediately.

Will I get any receipt from the Bank for the payment?
ICICI bank does not provide any receipt/ confirmation. Records of
payments can be checked on the website under "Show Payments
Made"

Is there any limit on amount/ time of recharge?
The Mobile Top-Up recharge facility gives you the flexibility to recharge your prepaid mobile phone within broad limits.
Maximum & Minimum Limit for Recharge:
On any given day, you can request Mobile Top-Up from Rs.0 to Rs.5,000. The minimum and maximum recharge limits per transaction are as follows:

Time limits for consecutive recharge requests varies from one mobile operator to another. Currently the time limit for consecutive recharge requests is as follows

9.
What if I select the wrong operator and circle?
Recharge request is taken on the basis of Mobile Number entered
by you. Drop-down of Operator & circle is provided for the purpose
of your information about availability of the service. ICICI Bank will accept the request for processing.

10.
When can my request be invalid?
A request will be invalid on account of following reasons:
- Non existing
mobile number
- Post paid
mobile number
- Mobile number
which does not pertain to the list of above mentioned operators
- Mobile Recharge
request is out of Amount/ Time limits as mentioned under point
8.
In all the above
cases ICICI Bank will debit the bank account for amount entered
by you. However, being invalid, the request will be rejected by
operator. Refund will be made to your account within 4 working days.

11.
What will happen if I enter incorrect mobile number?
Once the transaction is entered, ICICI Bank accepts the same for
processing. If mobile number belongs to the list of operator as
mentioned above, the request will be processed and talk time will
increase. However, if the number is invalid (for reasons as mentioned
above) refund will be issued within 4 working days.

What will be the increase in talk-time limit?
On the basis of amount of transaction, every operator (as mentioned
above) determines the talk-time limit and tops your mobile phone
accordingly. For exact information of talk-time increase, please
get in touch with your mobile operator.

13.
Will I receive a confirmation for completion of top-up through the
facility?
Once
the top-up is completed, you will receive a confirmation message
from the operator.

14.
What if I do not get any confirmation message from the operator?
Once the top-up is completed, you will receive a
confirmation message from the operator. In case on non-receipt of confirmation
message, please check the talk-time limit of your mobile phone. If the talk-time
does not increase, please contact your operator.

15.
What if talk-time does not increase after the transaction?
The same is possible when the mobile number entered is invalid (as
mentioned under point 9, 10 and 11). In such cases, refund will
be made to your account within 4 working days. In case you do not
receive the same within 4 working days, kindly call our 24
Hour Customer Care Center.

17. Notes on Transaction Password
Your Transaction Password will get locked if
- incorrect Transaction Password is entered 5 times OR
- incorrect ATM / Debit card number is entered 5 times independently of one another
You can request reissue of Transaction Password by
- Applying Online for a new Transaction Password
- Calling our 24 hour Customer Care Centre and asking for new Transaction Password
- Visiting any ICICI Bank branch and asking for a new Transaction Password
In case your account is less than six months old, Resident Indian customers will need to apply at the branch for the Transaction Password.
You will receive the Transaction password within 7 working days at your communication address registered with us.
Please note:
Please do not attempt to use the old transaction password after you have submitted your request for new password,as this will cause the new Transaction Password to get locked.

What are the prerequisites for this facility?
a) Customer is a registered Mobile Banking Customer
b) Customer has valid mobile connection from list of operators & circles enabled for the service
c) Customer has registered for mShop Facility. Currently registration for mShop facility is available through Internet Banking only. See Question No. 3 (below) to know how to register for mShop Name.
d) Customer has Internet banking user id for bank accounts

How do I register for a mShop Name?
To register your mShop Name, just follow the steps given below:
- Login
to ICICIBank.com with your Internet banking User ID and password
- Click on
the Mobile Banking tab
- Click on
' Mobile Shopping Service' option on the left menu
- Enter your
desired 4-digit alphanumeric mShop Name and confirm the
same
- Click on
the Submit button

4. How do I send my
Mobile Prepaid Recharge Request?
After registration of your mShop Name, whenever you need to recharge
your mobile all you need to do is send an SMS to 919837142424 in
the below given format:
ITOPUP <mShop Name> <Amount>
e.g. ITOPUP a12b 525
Where mShop Name is a12b and Amount is Rs. 525/-
Your mobile phone will be topped up in a few seconds.

Is there any additional charge levied by the Bank/ Operator?
No. ICICI Bank provides this facility free of Charge for its Customers.

6.
When can my request be invalid?
A request through
Mobile Banking can be invalid on account of following reasons:
a. Incorrect mShop name: ICICI Bank will reject the transaction
and customer's account will not be debited. Failure message will
be passed on to the Customer by the Bank
b. Customer mobile connection is not from the list of operator
and circle for which service is applicable: ICICI Bank will
debit the bank account for amount entered on the screen. However,
the request will be rejected at operator, being invalid. Refund
will be made to customer account within 4 working days.
c. Customer is not a registered mobile banking user: ICICI
Bank will reject the transaction and customer's account will not
be debited. Failure message will be passed on to the Customer by
the Bank
d. Time and Amount restriction. Mentioned in Question No:8 under Mobile Prepaid Recharge Top-up facility Through Internet Banking
It is important to note that for this purpose mobile banking channel
can be used by customer only for topping-up his/her own mobile.
ICICI bank will accept request only for registered mobile banking
customers for the purpose of topping up the registered mobile phone.

What do I do if I forget my mShop Name in future?
You can create a new mShop Name for yourself anytime you want, by
logging in to ICICIBank.com with your Internet Banking User ID and
Password.

Will I receive a confirmation for completion of top-up through the
facility?
Once the top-up is completed, you will receive a confirmation message
from the operator.

What if I do not get any confirmation message from the operator?
Once the top-up is completed, you will receive a
confirmation message from the operator. In case on non-receipt of confirmation
message, please check the talk-time limit of your mobile phone. If the talk-time

I want to make use of this facility but I do not have my Internet
Banking User ID/Password. How can I obtain it?
Please call our 24-Hour Phone Banking Numbers. Upon successful authentication,
you will receive your User ID instantaneously.You can place a request
for an Internet Banking Password, which will be couriered to your
address available with the bank

What are the values for which Prepaid Recharge can not be done for Reliance?
Please note that Reliance has currently blocked the Rs 149, Rs 165, Rs 200 and Rs 550 recharge.
