Features

At ICICI Bank, we use several layers of security mechanisms that consist of sophisticated monitoring and reporting processes as well as prevention, detection and response procedures. Emerging technologies and new advances in security are also continuously evaluated and we employ the latest industry best practices to ensure the integrity of our systems and the safety of your information.

128-bit Secured Socket layer (SSL)

ICICI Bank employs 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which is one of the best commercially available encryption technology most commonly used by large-scale online merchants, banks, and brokerages worldwide. Encryption is a method of scrambling information to protect its transmission across the Internet. The encryption of data provides a strong degree of protection against tampering while data is moving through the Internet. All online sessions between the customer and the bank are protected by up to 128-bit encryption, which best protects customer information against disclosure to third parties.

Verisign Digital Certification

ICICI Bank website is certified by Verisign Digital Certificate. Digital Certificates provide the user with third Party (Certification Authority) evidence of the server's authenticity. This safeguards users from trusting unauthorized sites and allows the session to be encrypted. Verisign is an internationally acclaimed Certification Authority and their certificates are used worldwide by large-scale online merchants, banks and brokerages. You will see a "closed lock" icon on the right most bottom corner of the logged in section. Clicking on that will allow you to see the Verisign Certificate authenticating the site.

Secured Login Page

The login page on which User ID and Password is entered by the Customers is also secured.

Locking Of Password

Online access to your account is automatically locked if you enter in an incorrect password for certain number of attempts.more …

Two levels of Password for Financial Transactions

Funds Transfers and Bill Payment can be executed through Internet Banking only by use of transaction password in addition to the password used for logging in. All main transactional facilities on the website cannot be done without entering transactional password. Such a password is machine generated and is known only to the Customer
