1. Make sure that your credit card is returned to you after completing a purchase and be sure that the card that has been returned is your own.
   
2. After a purchase, always take your charge slips with you and tear up any carbon copies.
   
3. Check receipts against your monthly billing statements to verify your card transactions. Report any unauthorized transaction(s) immediately.

5. Once you have reconciled your account statements, tear up all charge slips and discard them. 
   
6. If your credit card has a photo card option, use it. Convert your card to the photo card.
