Mr. Mahendra Kumar Sharma was first appointed on the Board of ICICI Bank Limited on January 31, 2003. He holds Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Bachelor of Law Degree from Canning College, University of Lucknow. He has also completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Department of Business Management, University of Delhi and Diploma in Labour Laws from Indian Law Institute, Delhi. After a six year stint in DCM Limited, he joined Hindustan Lever Limited in 1974 as Legal Manager and worked in various areas including taxation, shares and legal. He was inducted on the Board of Hindustan Lever Limited in August 1995. He retired as the Vice-Chairman of Hindustan Unilever Limited in May 2007.
