Comprehensive insurance cover on our cards encompasses the following:

Air Accident Insurance

Provides cover in case of any unfortunate event that leads to loss of life in an air accident.

Accident Hospitalization Benefit

Covers the reimbursement of medical expenses subject to the sum insured, incurred due to hospitalization in case of rail/ road accident.

Travel Insurance

Provides cover for a variety of travel related incidents in the event of international travel:
  • Loss of checked-in baggage
  • Loss of travel documents
  • Bags missing in transit
  • Flight delays
  • Missing flight due to transshipment

Lost Card Liability

Protects against unauthorised transactions in case of loss or theft of card.

Purchase Protection

Protects against fire and burglary of goods purchased on your ICICI Bank Credit Card.

Credit Shield

Provides for the payment of the card outstanding amount in case of accidental death.

Counterfeit Card Liability

Protects against fraudulent transactions made by a third person by fraudulently printing, embossing, or encoding the card to make it appear as a genuine card and use it for making transactions.

Account Takeover Cover

Am I eligible for all the insurance benefits mentioned above?

Depending on the ICICI Bank Credit Card you hold, you are entitled to specific insurance coverage. Please refer to your Card page for details of the insurance plan available on your card.

Do I have to pay premium on the plan?

The insurance cover is available to you on a complimentary basis as a valued ICICI Bank Credit Card member. ICICI Bank will bear the premium on your behalf.

How do I file a claim?

The insurer for the cover is ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. Please call ICICI Lombard General on their toll-free number 1800 209 8888 to file a claim. Please quote your ICICI Bank Credit Card number while filing the claim.

How do I track the status of my claim?

The insurer for the cover is ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. You can track the claim filed with ICICI Lombard General on their toll-free number 1800 209 8888.

Will I enjoy benefits of the insurance plan as long as I hold the card?

Yes, benefits of the insurance plan would be available as long as you hold the card provided and the following conditions are complied with:
  • You have used your credit card at least once in the last 60 days prior to the unforeseen event.
  • The minimum amount due on your credit card is paid at all times.
 
The Card Member may be offered various insurance benefits from time to time by ICICI Bank through a tie up with the Insurance Company. In all cases of claim, the Insurance Company will be solely liable for settlement of the claim and the Card Member will not hold ICICI Bank responsible in any manner whether for compensation, recovery of compensation, processing of claims or for any other reason whatsoever.
All insurance benefits will be applicable only in case the said ICICI Bank Credit Card has been used at least once in the last 60 days prior to the happening of the unforeseen event.
All insurance benefits are available on the Primary Card only. There is no insurance cover on Supplementary Cards.
Please ensure that the minimum amount due on your Credit Card is paid at all times to avail of insurance benefits.
Travel insurance covers international travel only and only when the ticket is purchased using the said ICICI Bank Credit Card.
The insurance claim proceeds may be placed in escrow by the Insurance Company at the direction of ICICI Bank until satisfactory discharge of all outstanding liabilities on the Card by the Card Member.
In the event of the Card facility being terminated, for whatever reason, all such insurance benefits shall automatically and ipso facto cease to be available from such date of cessation of membership.
Insurance is the subject matter of solicitation. The insurer for the cover as aforesaid is ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. The policy is governed by the terms and conditions laid down by ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. ICICI Bank is not responsible for processing of claims and all claim related queries need to be taken up directly on ICICI Lombard General toll-free number 1800 209 8888. Insurance is underwritten by ICICI Lombard GIC Ltd. The services mentioned are only an indication of the covers offered. ICICI Bank may at any time (at its sole discretion without giving any prior notice thereof) modify, suspend, withdraw or cancel these insurance benefits and there will be no binding obligation on ICICI Bank to continue these benefits.
