Cards On American Express Network

You can now change the PIN for American Express Credit Cards issued on and after May 11, 2017. The PIN can be changed at ICICI Bank ATMs or through the Interactive Voice Response system (IVR) by calling our Customer Care.

Credit Cards on American Express Network use an “Offline” PIN capability for Point of Sale (POS)/Retail transactions wherein the PIN is encoded onto the Chip embedded in your Credit Card. This implies that the PIN provided at the time of card issuance cannot be changed by you during the course of usage of the card for POS transactions.

• Forgotten PIN: In case you have forgotten your PIN, please call our Customer Care to place a request for reissuance of the PIN. The PIN will be reissued and dispatched to you at your mailing address. Please note that in case of multiple incorrect PIN entry attempts the Card will be blocked automatically and you will need to call our Customer Care for issuance of a replacement Credit Card.
  
  Please note that Cards issued w.e.f. June 2015 will get blocked automatically after 9 incorrect PIN entry attempts and Cards issued prior to June 2015 will get blocked after 3 incorrect PIN entry attempts. Once the card is blocked, you will need to call our Customer Care for issuance of a replacement Credit Card.

• Non-receipt of PIN: In case of non-receipt of the PIN within 7 working days of receipt of your card, please call our Customer Care for reissuance of the PIN. The PIN will be reissued and dispatched to you at your mailing address.
